OUR STORY

The name, 99.1, is from the scripture Luke 15:1-7 that shares, “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ 7 Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance."

This scripture inspired our Orange County non-denominational church logo which can be used as a witnessing tool. Each color within the logo of 99.1 represents something. The color red represents Christ's blood which washes us white as snow. The number 99 represents the church which is the color white that's been washed with Christ's blood. Then the "point" of the 99 is to constantly be in search of the one who is lost in darkness. Thus, the one is dark. The logo is meant to be a witnessing tool to engage people in conversation.  So people will ask you what it means you can gladly answer them by sharing the love story of the parable of the lost sheep. Which of course is the perfect transition to the greatest love story ever told “the Gospel Message, John 3:16”
